Lungs - lungs are the cone shaped organs of the respiratory system. there are 2 lungs, the right lung and the left lung. the right lung is larger than the left. the right has 3 lobes, superior, middle and inferior. the left lung has 2 lobes: superior and inferior. Each lung contains air passageways, alveoli, nerves, blood vessels, lymphatic vessles and connective tissues. pleura is a part of the lungs.
