Techniques
Symbolism
Certain conventions or textual elements often suggest symbolic meanings; for example, the colour red might symbolise passion, anger or energy.
Pace
Techniques such as syntax short and along. will change the dynamics of hte writing and this in turn will shape the mood of the text
Implication
SOme techniques directly imply or suggest a particular meaning to the reader- this is more literal and obvious thatn a connotation
Emphasis
In both written and visual texts, certain techniques of salience will highlight or draw attention or particular phases or ideas.
Response
Some techinques are employed to evoke a particular response from the reader- it could be an emotional reaction or a compulsion to act
many techniques evoke a particular tine or mood, which in turn shape how a text is more broadly interpreted
Comparison
many techniques (such as similies or juxtaposition) compare two things in oder to imply a similarity or difference.
