Visual: Using symbols, pictures and physical movements to communicate a story that can cause an emotional reaction and inform.

Puppetry: The use of physical objects that mimic humans to convey a story that happened in the real world.
Art
Tattoos: People can choose meaningless pictures or deeply personal stories that last a lifetime on their body
Painting: Artists envision a picture in their mind that they want to express and use a canvas and different colors to express that message.
Sculpting: Used to tell a story in physical form, many statues are used to remind people of an important person or event that change the course of history.
Written: Any type of storytelling that uses physical and linguistic symbols to communicate a message.
Poetry: Using words that rhyme and fit well together, makes for a deep story that not only tells a message but is aesthetically pleasing to our ears
Books: With descriptive places and people, a book can transport your mind to other worlds and point of views
Fiction: The type of books I like to read after a long day to relax and transport myself into another world where I don't have to think about my problems.
Non-fiction: Factual events and concepts, but storytelling can still be included.

News Articles: Updating audiences on current events within the world through interviews and creating a narrative around something that has happened.
Advertisements: Use stories to get emotional reactions out of the views so they are more likely to identify with the message and buy the product
Social Media Posts: They tell stories updating a network of people you are "friends" with online about what is going on. These can both be beneficial and detrimental to society.

Movies/TV shows are a mixture of oral, visual and written, to create an all-encompassing story with a lot of your senses.

Live-Action: Recording of real people and places to tell a story that can look as tangible as the real world.
Affects
Emotional: Good stories have the power to bring out your emotions not just through facts but a narrative surrounding it. Plenty of times in TV shows or books, I have connected so closely with the characters that it evokes an emotional reactions and can even bring me to tears.
Decision Making: A story that affects our emotions that change the way we see or think about things and what actions we are going to take.
Physical: Listening to a good story can alter or release chemicals in your body and cause physical changes

Societal: Sometimes a good story is broadcasted around a community or larger group of people that changes how people think about an issue and causes people to demand change.
Civil Rights Movement: Rosa Parks was not the first to take a seat at the front of the bus, but people used her narrative to appeal to larger crowds.
Black Lives Matter: People like George Floyd's stories were amplified and angered those who want equal treatment for black people in American society.
Free Brittney: Brittney Spears story about being stuck in a conservatorship invoked change within the court system allowing more rights for adults that have a conservator.
Environmental: People will stay unaware of what is happening to their planet if they do not hear stories of what is going on.
LGBTQIA+: Discrimination of people of different sexual orientations and gender have gone on for centuries, and stories of individual people are showing people that they are just as humans as everyone else.
Me Too: Stories of several women came out about being sexually assaulted and raised more awareness for the amount of injustice that was really happening in our society.

African Americans: Those enslaved would create stories with hidden messages to communicate with others in secret

English: Alice in Wonderland and similar children's have no teaching involved only a world for children to enjoy
Latin America: Many books have several metaphors with an abrupt and meaningless ending similar to the way Latin people communicate
