TYPES OF KINGDOMS
FUNGUS KINGDOM
Heterotrophic, but depending on where they get the organic matter they can be:
PARASITES, which feed from living organisms causing diseases.
SYMBIOTIC, which take nutrients from other organisms and provide some kind of benefit in return. Ex: lichens
SAPROPHYTES, which feed on the remains of other living beings.

USES OF FUNGI
-
Help us to produce certain types of food like wine, beer or bread.
-
MONERAN KINGDOM
All bacteria. Prokaryotic organisms.
Most bacteria group together forming colonies. However, some cocci and bacilli can group together without forming colonies:
-
NUTRITION
Bacteria can be autotrophic (cyanobacteria) or heterotrophic.
Heterotrophic bacteria can be classified in:
-
REPRODUCTION
By bipartition: division of the genetic material followed by the cell dividing itself into two.
Some bacteria can perform sexual processes such as conjugation, the exchange of fragments of nucleic acid through the pili.
