    - - The gun laws in America still cling to the second amendment, a right that was made when America was a lawless country. People needed a way to defend themselves properly against all sorts of things. Now, America is an urban country with laws, cities, technology, and democracy. The right to bear arms is no longer needed, as it only causes un necessary violence.
- - - - Love and Support cannot be opposed by violence and chaos, Plato believes. Human nature and society best thrives on love. People can do less harm and be kinder to one another if they do not have wide access to deadly weapons.
    - - The biggest argument against gun control that people have is "How are you supposed to defend yourself against somebody else?"
        
        If gun control laws were in place they would apply to everybody (Like in Canada.) Nobody could attack you with a gun, so you wouldn't need a gun to defend with.
