settings
iso
i aim to experiment with grain in my shoots because thats something ive not done before when taking photos, for example in my 4th shoot at the church i will have grain in my images to make them have a more rustic or old feel.
shutter speed
my shutter speed will be kept fast enough to keep the movement in my shots frozen this will be around 1/60-1/250 depending on factors such as lighting conditions.
-
aperture
i will have my apertures varying from shoot to shoot , for example in shoot 4 i will have a small aperture because i aim to get the most of the church in focus however with my 2nd shoot i will have a wide aperture in order to focus on only the bus stop glass and nothing else
equiptment
i will be using my nikon d3400 ans the standard kit lens 18-55mm. i may use a flash for my 6th shoot and i will be using a telephoto lens for shoot 8.

shoots
shoot 4
for shoot 4 i aim to have a similar shoot to shoot 3 but with a new church to show the difference in architecture between the new and old churches. this time with St Mary madeleines church which was built in the 60s
shoot 6
I will shoot shoot 6 at the wind turbines on the lammermuir hills. They represent a new age of clean renewable energy and the sleek clean architecture will contrast nicely compared to its counterpart, shoot 5 at the 17th centaury mill. I will shoot this shoot at dawn/dusk so the shot is dramatically enhanced by the colours of the sky. the turbines aren't easily accessible and I would need to get there by car so it will be difficult to shoot. I will get a lift up with my mum in her car and then by foot get as close as i can to the turbines. I will have a narrow aperture in order to get the whole landscape in focus and i will keep my ISO low as possible to make the shot look clean and new without any grain.
shoot 3
shoot 3 will be the first of the 2 church shoots. i will shoot at st johns church in portobello and aim to ramp up my iso to make my shoots look more old and rustic to fit the style of the 19th century building.
shoot 5
shoot 5 will be Preston mill in East Linton. I aim to use a wide lens to get the a lot of the old building in my shots. I will have an aperture of f/8-11 to keep all of the building in shot but not so much its surroundings. the mill has an interesting roof which points up like a witches hat which I will make the point of interest in my shots as it is unusual. I will also photograph the mills wheel.
shoot 2
shoot 2 will be done at bus stops around Haddington and I will have a wide aperture in order to keep the glass/plastic of the bus stop in focus and what's behind it out of focus. this will add mystery and tension as the person behind the glass will be out of focus.

shoot 7
I will be shooting this shoot at Seaview Terrace in Portobello. My grandma lives on this street and her house has roof access so i will hopefully be able to make use of this and take images using the leading lines technique with the curve of the terrace which will lead the viewer from the chimney on the roof down towards the beach and seaside. i will have the chimneys in shot to show how old the houses are. I will have my aperture small to create a great depth of field to you can see all the way to Arthurs seat from Portobello.
shoot 1
shoot 1 will consist of my shots of my mums old place of work, lamp house music which was once a railway station for Haddington but is now a converted music school. i aim to use the leading lines of its steps and and planters outside to lead up to the big red door which will be my point of interest.
shoot 8
For shoot 8 I will use ideas from my previous shoot plan. I will shoot at my grandmas new build house in Haddington and from her house I will (with the help of a telephoto lens) be able to shoot the building site from a safe distance. I will use techniques such as line and pattern for creative effect on my shots to show the physical and professional structure on the building site. I will experiment with grain in this shoot too to enhance the look of a muddy mucky building site. for camera settings i will use f/8 for aperture and a shutter speed of 1/125 as there will be movement from the workers on the sight.
