In rural areas its a struggle for employment because of the long commute times to work. Higher cost per person rather than urban areas.

Hunger causes learning disability's making it harder to get a good education. In today's world better education means better jobs.

Food shortages
Food shortages are also caused by people overbuying food leaving it harder for others to access it.
Roughly 40% of food in the United States is wasted.
9.9% of the world is hungry.
Yemen is home to the biggest food shortage in the world. Over half of their entire population is food insecure.
There is enough food for everyone just bad distribution.
War
Food is not easily accessible.
Drives farmers from their lands.
War caused roughly 99.1 million people to go hungry last year in 23 different countries.
Kills off livestock.
Drives up food prices.
Economy
Supply chain has been affected by COVID-19.
Government jobs that have been laid off due to COVID-19.
Inconsistent stocks causing spikes and losses.
Inflation caused a spike in food prices making it harder to eat healthier foods.
Climate Change
Climate change has lead to to much nitrogen in the air. Causing soil to not be rich enough to grow crops.
The rain is were the soil gets the nutrients we need. With so much air pollution it has caused rain to be to acidic. This makes it harder to grow natural crops.
Under developed land that just sits there doing nothing could be used to grow crops.
in 2020 11% of the world was in a severe drought making it impossible to grow widespread crops on the land affected.
