Increase of Poor Diets and Higher Obesity Rates in College Students
Megan Marsh's research study on dietary and exercise habits shows a correlation between their habits and their life satisfaction. Students who ate well and exercises had better life satisfaction and those with poor diet and exercise had a poor life satisfaction. She studied many different factors such as time management and dining plans.
The relevance of this research project is the connection of diet and exercise to life satisfaction.

This article goes to figure out how true the "freshman 15" really is. They studied freshmen and their diets and exercise. The researchers also took a look at how much some college students lost after attending school. They also looked at the difference between men and women.

This article is helpful because it does describe the differences in diets between schools. It also provides different ways to stay healthy.

This journal compares the connection between food insecurity and how it affects diet specifically in college-aged students. It discusses how financial constraints often take away access to nutritious food. The study also looked and compared results with food- secure students.

Perceptions of Eating and Exercise is a very different take on healthy eating. This study focuses on students ideas ideas of healthy eating and their own exercise but mostly focusing on students with orthorexia and exercise dependance. It shows students ideas of what they consider healthy eating.
This will help my research because it shows that what students may consider to be healthy may not actually be healthy.

This article is a student who wrote one from a midwest school. It talks about student concerns over proper eating and staffing shortages interfering with dining halls. It has student testimonies and instances where students with allergies were not able to eat due to different dining challenges.
This article is important even though it is student wrote because it provides student testimonies about a school close to Ball State.

This article shows what and where college students eat. This article breaks down what meals students eat( breakfast, lunch, dinner) and what style ( to-go, fast, sit-down). It also discusses students that live off campus and where they tend to eat.
