Teaching Philosophy!

2. Including Technology!
Apps such as YouTube is a great way to students enjoy a certain topic without having any level of difficulty before and after the lesson.
Other examples include PowerPoint, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, and Class Dojo.
When teaching any subject, it is always to make your students understand what is being taught to them through full comprehension. This is where technology comes into important play.
All of these examples of technology help prepare students for future assignments/lessons and also it enhances their learning.
-
3. Picking Topics!
Students have the option during all projects also including group ones as well to pick from multiple ancient civilizations. However, depending on the lesson options will sometimes vary.
These ancient civilizations include Mesopotamia, Egypt, Maya, China, and Greece.
-
4. Project Directions!
- Students will first pick a topic from the five ancient civilizations that have been select. However, students may also pick a different civilization as long as they research it first.
- Then Groups of students will then begin to write a script either handwritten or typed on Word document.
- Students will be divided into three to four groups depending on the size of each classroom throughout each class period.
- Next the groups of students will then begin to film their videos on their designated topic of interest.
- The final step involves all groups of students submitting their YouTube videos on the following due date. Also, all groups of students must submit their scripts on the due date this is mandatory!
5. Testing Knowledge!
Students at end of this lesson will be given a short knowledge check instead of a test/quiz that way students can feel less stressed out.
Also, during this knowledge check students will only have to answer a set of three questions which are short and simple.
-
6. Trying New Things!
As a teacher I should be able to learn by trial and error. Also, as time goes on, I should be able to improve my lesson plans as well.
-
7. Reflection/Aftermath!
By allowing all of my students to take time to themselves in order to reflect on what they have previously learned.
However, it also extremely important to have an easy communication with all of my students to make sure they understand what is happening around them.
-
After when the project is finally over all of my students who were in teams/groups will have time to reflect on what they have previously learned as a class.
8. Providing Success!
Having all my students being able to understand all of the following materials that are being presented to them.
Relating back to the first topic I must make sure as a teacher that my students must enjoy learning and also have a remarkable experience.
-
Finally provide all of my students with the materials and tools that are needed for them all to succeed enterally.
9. Conclusion!
Finally, at the end of this project my students will hopefully remember this group project as a rememberable one.
Hopefully all of my students will have a positive experience to this project instead of a negative one.

10. Extra Credit Option!
-
At the end of each quarter students will be given an extra credit for any class. Personally, to me this is extermley helpful any assignmnet that they needed to show me.
