ECE curriculum in Malaysia
Aim: To equip pupils with basic language skills to enable them to communicate effectively in a variety of contexts that are appropriate to the pupils’ level of development.

At the end of pre-school education, children should

Both curriculum emphasize on the importance of play, discovery and hands-on learning.
Malaysia tends to be more advanced in the field of education because of the curriculum used as standard and there is not often a change of curriculum
Each preschool class is managed by a teacher and an assistant appointed by the Ministry of Education Malaysia. The post grade for preschool teachers is DG29 or DG41 while the post grade for preschool assistants is N17, which is equivalent to the post of Administrative Assistant.
Each class must not exceed 25 children aged 5 and/or 6 years. Eligibility to enter preschool is calculated based on family income which is below RM500. However the limit can be increased if there are still vacancies.
