Turkish National Educational System (TNES)
General Goals
There are three main general goals of TNES
One of the main goals of TNES is to raise individuals who are committed to Atatürk's reforms and principles. Also, it aims to raise individuals who loves, protects and improves their culture and country.
The second goal of TNES is to raise spritiually, mentally, physically and morally healthy individuals.
Third and the last goal is to equip people with necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to prepare them for life.

The Right to Receive Education
Ensures that everyone has the opportunity to get a basic education.
Opportunity equality
Provides equal opportunity for education to everyone.
Continuity
Aims to provide education for a lifetime.
Atatürk's Principles and Nationalism
Living in harmony with Atatürk's principles and nationalism.
Democracy
Aims to educate individuals about democracy.
Secularism
Secularism is essantial in Turkish National Education.
Scientificity
Using scientific methods in education is critical.
Being Planned
Education should be done in accordance with a plan.
Education Everywhere
Education should be everywhere possible.
School and Family Co-operation
There should be cooperation between school and family.
Co-education
Co-education should be applied in schools.
Generality and equality
Education institutions should be available to everyone regardless of religion, gender or race.
Individual and Societal Demands
Satisfying individual and societal demands.
Orientation
Individuals should be directed to certain areas according to their skills.
