Waves
are
Oscillations that travel from one place to another.
and they have three parts
Crest
is
The high point in a wave.
Trough
is
The low point in a wave.
Wavelength
is
The distance from any point on a wave to the same point on the next cycle of the wave.
and there are two types
Longitudinal wave
has
Vibrations in the same direction as the wave moves.
Transverse wave
has
Oscillations perpendicular to the direction the wave moves.
