Preparing for Emergencies
Forms of notification, for example alarms, lockdown system, detected by sense of touch e.g vibration on wrist, movement e.g cogs and conveyor belts.
Agriculture - farm animals escaping fields
Natural disasters - tsunami, volcanic eruption, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, flood, lightning, landslides and/or debris flow, sink hole, rain/sleet/snow/hail storms, ice.
Community - injuries at schools and playing fields from outdoor activities
Agriculture - field fires - system that waters the field.
Commercial and industrial - accidents in the work place i.e involving machinery and equipment
Transport - road safety to prevent vehicle collisions and pedestrian accidents
Outdoor Living
Everyday items - sports equipment, outdoor cooking equipment i.e barbecues
Festival - hygiene, safety of access points, communication problems e.g network issues for mobile phone signals in large groups of people.
Camping - packing and storage of equipment
Education issues/promotion issues: lack of education on pollution and preserving nature for future generations?
Agriculture - chemicals in the air, potentially hazardous to humans and wildlife
Personal items worn (clothing and accessories): shoes getting wet on the inside? Hats not protecting all areas of the head from the sun (e.g. invent a cap that guards both the forehead AND the sides of the head?)
Homeless People
Outdoor Social Clubs - Cubs, Scouts, etc
Sports activities such as fishing, hunting/shooting, sailing, golf, swimming, cycling, walking, hiking, canoeing, running, tennis, volleyball, cricket, rugby, football, team games ie rounders, archery, skiing
Employed work such as forestry, groundswork, construction, farming, roadwork, seasonal work such as fruit picking
Keeping Fit and Active
Sweating - e.g. watch slipping on wrist or sweaty back while having rucksack on while biking etc.
Ease of access to sports equipment - home gyms for tiny homes e.g flats and apartments
Education issues/promotion issues: other than just showing the Eatwell Plate, expand on it e.g. show how it works via a practical or give statistics from online about the difference between healthy things and unhealthy things e.g. tooth rot, colour of liver etc.
Cost - exercise classes and gym memberships not always affordable
Outdoor Sports - Carrying a bottle in a different way other than by hand (because by hand is uncomfortable and affects you stability while exercising e.g. running.
Wellbeing - Mental health, obesity, depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue - exercise programmes to address each personal issue.
Walking/Running - spray particles in air from agricultural chemicals used on fields - a mask that allows you to breathe but doesn't let in chemicals while exercising outside
Disabilites which prevent ability to do certain sports e.g. solution to having one hand but wanting to cycle, or balance disorientation but wanting to skateboard
Social problems - exercising, even solitary road running, enables somebody to connect with everyday life and people
