William Shakespeare
1564-1616, he is one of England's greates writers.
In 1582, he married a woman, Anne Hathaway, and had 3 children. Then in 1592 he moved to London and gravitated to the theater. And in 1594 he had become the principal playwright of some plays.
Shakespeare's impact on English language has been enormous. Not only did he coin new words and new meanings for old words, but he also used many expressions that have become part of our everyday speech.
England's First Theater

English made a succesful theater, known simply as "Theatre". Some of the Shakespeares's earliest plays were first performed here.

King Phillip of Spain tried to invade England, and although Spain was the strongest nation, England won, and Elizabeth I won popularity with her people, and inspired them to fight.
The reign of Elizabeth I is often seen as a golden age in English history. She brought economc and politic stability to the nation, thus allowing commerce and to thrive.
1485
The Renaissence was slow to come to England. The delay was caused by civil wars. Because two great families where fighting for the throne. When Elizabeth took the throne, she proved to be one of the strongest monarchs that England has ever known.
1350
Italian city-states began to trade extensively with the East. With trade more knowledge and curiosity came. Italy was leading the way in a flowering of European learning known as the Renaissance.
