Direct Questioning
The belief that social facts can be measured in the same way as natural facts, hence the use of objective and quantifiable measures such as questionnaires, attitude scales, controlled clinical experiments and statistical tests of distribution, correlation and significance.

First Poll
One of the keys to successful interviewing is knowing when and how to probe, probe, scrutinize. Throughout the interviews the researcher follows up on themes that emerged as consequences of specific questions, encourages the informant to describe the experiences in detail, and constantly seeks to clarify his words.

But as a participant on the stage and as a member of the global society and culture, the researcher is likely to share many feelings and perspectives with the people on a stage.

Some researchers record comments in the margin of the transcript of their discussions with students and include them in the final report.
