What would happen if one didn’t have the other?
If sharks didn’t have remoras fish they would have no way to cleen themselves, and no way to get rid of parasites so they would get unhealthy and possibly die.
Remoras fish get food and protection for cleaning sharks. But they do eat other things like small scraps of fish and crustaceans.
What is the relationship between remoras fish and sharks?
The remoras fish eat parasites from the shark's skin and even the mouth, which benefits the shark.Commensalism - an association between two organisms in which one benefits and the other derives neither benefit nor harm. Barnacles and whales are the same barnacles attached to a whale get a place to live, transportation and plenty of food but the whale does not benefit from them but also doesn't have any biological cost to the whale.
