- - - - Page 215: " From the perspective of women of color feminisms, another problem with mainstream (white) feminist thought is that when it attempts to include the thoughts and experiences of women of color in its theorizing, it tends to lump the theorizing of all women of color together, as if the world of women were divided between white (official, central, "universal") feminism and all of those other (unorthodox, tangential, "biased") feminisms."

These theorists, said Spelman, fail to realize that is is possible to oppress people by ignoring their differences."
