        พบ renal pyramid 6-12 อัน
    - - ลักษณะ
        
        เนื้อไตทางส่วน cortex & medulla เรียกว่า parenchyma of kidney
        
        Parenchyma of kidney ประกอบด้วย uriniferous tubule
      - Uriniferous tubule
        
        Nephrons
        
        ชนิดของ Nephrons
        
        Cortical nephron มี renal
        corpuscle อยู่ที่ cortex, Henle’s
        loop ยื่นมาถึง medulla พบประมาณ 85%
        
        Juxtamedullary nephron มี renal
        corpuscle อยู่ที่ corticomedullary
        junction, Henle’s loop ยื่นมาถึง medulla พบประมาณ 15%
        
        ส่วนประกอบของ Nephrons
        
        Renal corpuscles
        
        เป็นส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการกรอก (Filtering unit) อยู่ในเนื้อไตส่วน cortex
        
        Vascular pole เป็นทางเข้าออกของหลอดเลือด Afferen & Efferent arteriole จาก glomerulus
        
        Urinary pole เป็นทางติดต่อกับ proximal convoluted tubule
        
        Bowman’s capsule
        
        ทำหน้าที่รองรับ glomerulus และของเสียที่กรองได้
        
        ประกอบด้วยผนัง 2 ชั้น

      - เป็น renal artery ทั้งสองข้างแตกแขนงมาจาก abdominal aorta
  - - - มีความยาว 18-20 cm.
      - เริ่จากรูเปิดภายใน internal orifice ที่คอของกระเพาะปัสสาวะไปจนถึงรูเปิดภายนอก external orifice หรือที่ปลายองคชาต penis
      - เป็นทางผ่านของน้ำปัสสาวะและนำอสุจิ
      - แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ส่วน
