place- The concept of place is about the significance of a landscape and what it’s features are.
Space- The concept of space is about the significance of a location, spacial distribution and the way people organise/manage the space they live in.
Interconnection- Interconnections are the “webs of connection” (Food chain for example). No object or geographical study can be viewed in isolation. Meaning that all things in a place are connected and work together.
Change- Change is about analysing how landscapes, land-forms or things have changed over a period of time.
Environment- The concept of environment is about the significance of the environment (habitat) in a living thing’s life and the interrelationships between them.
Sustainability- Sustainability is the capacity of environment to support our lives or other life forms.
Scale- Scale is about the way geographical phenomena and problems can be explained at different levels. Scale can be from local, regional, nation or global.
