It serves functions that touch every aspects of our live
We communicate to meet needs
We are social animals and we need other people just as we need food, water, and shelter.
The content of our interactions is unimportant.
The important is is the needed of communication
Simply to talk with another human
We communicate to enhance and maintain our sense of self
Is through communication that we define who we are.
You know what others think of you through what they communicate to you verbally or non-verbally
We seek approval through communication
We communicate to develop relationships
We form relationships with other humans through communication
That relationships grow and deepen –or stagnate and whiter away.
