(Rhizome and Stem function)
Rhizome: Morphologically, it resembles the roots of plants. But the role of the root is to absorb nutrients from the soil, while the rhizome is not, it just expands the volume of the plant. A similar phenomenon is the presence of tubers.
Stem: It transports the water and nutrients absorbed by the roots to the leaves, which itself can also play a supporting role, allowing the plant to grow upright. In addition, the stem can also store nutrients, after all, rhizomes, bulbs, tubers, etc., they all have nutrient storage. In addition to this, some green stems can perform photosynthesis.
