- First, identify any signs of struggle in the student.
-
THE HELP PROCESS.I would do this in collaboration with other teachers that take the students in other subjects.
Unfortunately, there are no special education services in the whole country, so no refferal can be done.
Since we don't have an existing referral process nor any specialist in in my school, I would help using these strategies .
1. Give high quality and rigorous instruction in class and differentiate in small groups depending on the needs of the students.
-
-
4. Set goals and duration or time frame for the chosen intervention(s). Also identify the setting for consistency.

- INFORMATION GATHERING : As a homeroom teacher I will share my concerns with the school admin and colleagues that take the student in other subjects to see if they have noted same signs . I will also consult with the parents to check if they notice any atypical signs at home. If yes, then we will move to the next step. :
- RTI In this stage, I will use evidence-based strategies to offer rigorous instruction to all my students and keep observing for any changes. If nothing changes, then I will give the student personalized attention where he will received specialized intervention. I can collaborate with other colleagues to offer these services. All these processes will be documented. A big question to ask at this point is " is the student responding positively to RTI.
