Motivation and Values
When I was a leader in my course
committee. I find that one of my team
seems not suit with his portfolio as
a treasurer.
It was my responsibility to guide her on
that particular matter because I knew that
some tasks were hard to some personalities
So I had an idea that she
actually needed a professional guidance. I invited
my senior to teach her how to deliver the job effectively.
Since my senior was such an inspirational and experience
treasurer, she managed to guide my team member to be
a detailed yet systematic treasurer. She felt happy to learn
new skill and overcome her weakness.
From there I learned that
in order to motivate myself
and other people I need to understand
the personality and I will shamelessly to
ask guidance from the people with experience.
To know an experience person will indirectly become
the source of motivation.
Communication
I remember the time when I worked at PSN
as a science facilitator. One of the visitor asked
me about the radiation.
I had to explain to the visitor but in order to
avoid any jargon that I learned in university,
I used simple term so that the visitor can understand me
To my surprise the visitor can understand my explanation.
From that moment I realize that in order to make an
effective communication I need to be on the level of my listener
perspective and understanding.
Since that, whenever I communicate with someone
I try to focus on simplicity and make sure my point
can be understood easily.
Teamwork
I always believe that the smartest and
easiest task was done by a team, not
individual.
When it comes to assignment involved
team. I always will voice up my opinion
and Idea how to solve the problem at hand.
Usually, we will list out all the
possible problems we need to
solve
After, list out all the problem, we divided the task
and everyone focus only to some problem
After we had the solution to the problem
we shared the experience and technique
on how we encounter with the problem. From
there not only we could solve the problem easily
but also effectively plus all members can learn new
techniques on the different approaches how to solve
a specific problem.
Conflict Resolution
During university, I had one member
who cannot focus on the assignment
