a landform is a natural geographic feature or shape that appears on the earth's surface, they are formed by natural processes and most are seen in different landscapes, but some landforms are unique to a particular landscape
common landsforms:mountains, hills, beaches, islands, rivers, lakes and valleys
coastal landforms: archipelago, atoll, headland, isthmus and spit
mountain landforms: glacier, ridge and volcanos
riverine landforms: delta, estuary, floodplain, tributary and waterfalls
arid landforms: buttc, mesa, oasis, inselbery and dunes
landscapes
a landscape consists of a variety of geographical features that are characteristics of an area on the earths surface
6 main landscapes
mountain, coastal, riverine, arid, karst, human.
mountain landsapces: they are formed by techtonic plates on the earths surface pushing againist each other
coastal landscapes: is where the land meets the sea, features include beaches, dunes, bays, cliffs and lagoons
riverine landscapes: arfe formed by the natural movment of water, and includes the ecosystem around the area

karst landscapes: they are formed when easily dissolvable bedrock is worn away by acidic water and forms caves, springs, sinkholes amd stalactiles
human landscapes: they are created by people and provides evidence of human settlement and occupation of an environment, features include buildings, roads, transport and sewerage
valuing landforms and landscpaes: people value landfroms and landscapes for four main reasons. cultural value, spiritual value, aesthetic value and economic value
physical, cultural features :
physical features on a map are lables for things you find in the enivronment such as rivers, lakes, mountains, ect.
cultural features on a map are labels for things created by humans, such as housing, train tracks, factories, airports, etc.

values
Cultural values are the core principles and ideals upon which an entire community exists. customs of this value include traditions and rituals.
the aesthetic value is the emotional value attributed to a work of art or nature because of its beauty or other factors associated with aesthetic preference.
Spiritual values attributed to protected areas that features of nature have put people in touch with a deeper reality
geography is the study of the physical features of the earth, its atmosphere, and human activity. it can be affected by some things, including the distribution of population and resources and political and economic activities.
