Characters
Squealer
Pig who spreads Napoleon's propoganda. He often twists the truth and lies to the other animals to keep Napoleon in power
Snowball
Pig who challenges Napoleon's power after the revolution. He is basically Napoleon's counter part and manages to win over some of the farm
Napoleon
Takes over Animal Farm after the rebellion. Represents Joseph Stalin and uses his attack dogs to instill fear and defend his position of power
Boxer
Boxer is a large, over-trusting horse. Napoleon consistently uses him and he does a large portion of work on the farm. Eventually, Napoleon, who he thought was is friend, betrayed him when he became too weak to work and sold him to a glue factory
Old Major
Started the Revolution, invisioning a society where all animals are equal and not under the controll of the humans, then died very soon after
Benjamin
An old donkey. He does not support the rebellion, but he doesn't not support it either. He chooses to ignore Napoleon's rise to power because as he claims, life will be miserable no matter who is in power. When he finally comes around in trying to stop Napoleon, it is too late and he has already killed Benjamin's best friend Boxer.
Puppies
Puppies born from Jessie and Bluebell. Napoleon tricked everyone, allowing him to train them to be loyal attack dogs for him
Mr. Jones
Original owner of Manor Farm before the Revolution. He is often drunk and treats his animals poorly, working them significantly with little food. He indulges himself while giving them litle.
