psycho-pleasure -- cognitive (understading) and emotional (liking/disliking) experience of using things/places
socio-pleasure -- social interaction
ideo-pleasure -- values and beliefs
4 Pleasure Interview Questions
what do you enjoy at school? why do you like it? what do you dislike?
what things are difficult to use or hard to understand? (laptop functions, where to go to class, etc)
what social experiences do you enjoy? where? when? (places, things)
attitudes and ideologies that emerge from the conversation
Goal
Design products, services and environments that support students moving into secondary school (attractive, pleasant, interesting)
Interview questions
gain sympathy --> undestand -- attitudes, expectations, motivations, experiences
Techniques
interviews --> what do they like about school? what are their hobbies? what do they find difficult? what do they do more? who do they enjoy being with?
experiences --> try to experience from their point of view --> what they know/understand --> physical experience (eyesight, hearing)
observation --> observe how previous/current grade 7's are acting
