- Exchange Down - Less than $0.00 Balance due (Refund)
Merkle Loyalty system, they will subtract the points for the item(s) being returned and add the points for the item(s) being purchased.
Loyalty ID from Return Management (RM) will override a previously captured Loyalty Id , so we will never have 2 loyalty numbers in an exchange transaction.
POS will make 2 separate calls with the same Loyalty ID regarding return and purchase part of the transaction.

Display a popup screen with message LOYALTY ACCOUNT IS IN PAUSED STATUS, ADVISE CUSTOMER TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR MORE INFO and ‘Cancel’ and ‘Search again’ buttons
If ‘Cancel’: Proceed to Item Entry - not a loyalty transaction: Transaction to be considered as a non loyalty transaction
