THE FIVE KINGDOMS
kingdom plant
They are EUKARYOTIC, MULTICELLULAR and ATROPHIC beings.that possess TISSUES and ORGANS that perform various functions.
-
flowerless plants
are simple plants that have NO flowers or seeds are the Bryophytes (mosses and liverworts) and the PTERIDOPHYTES (ferns and equisetos)
flowering plants
they are more elaborate pantas contain: flowers and seeds that have conductive vessels. Here are the GYMNOSPERMS (pines and cypresses) and the ANGIOSPERMS (oak and rockrose)
MONERAS KINGDOM
They are PROKARYOTIC organisms, usually UNICELLULAR, which are sometimes AUTOTROPHS and sometimes HETEROTROPHIC. Their cells usually have a CELL WALL, but with a different composition than plants. Autotrophic beings that do photosynthesis have chlorophyll, but not chloroplasts.
BACTERIA and CYANOPHYCEOUS ALGAE belong to this kingdom.
PROTOCTIST KINGDOM
They are EUKARYOTIC, UNICELLULAR or MULTICELLULAR and AUTOTROPHIC or HETEROTROPHIC beings. Its main characteristic is to grow from differentiated tissues the cells have CELL WALL and CHLOROPLASTS
animal kingdom
they are EUKARYOTIC, MULTICELL and HETEROTROPHIC organisms. Have DIFFERENT TISSUES and ORGANS with different functions
Are classified, according to the type of skeleton they have, invertebrates and vertebrates
-
-
kingdom fungi
they are eukaryotic, unicyllelular and multicellular organisms, and always heterotrophic.
their cells usually have a cell wall, whose composition is different from that of the other groups and contain chloroplasts.
