The five kingdoms
Animal kingdom
They are eukaryotic, multicellular (they have more than one cell) and heterotrophic organisms. They also possess different tissues and organs. Can be divided into:
Vertebrate animals
Vertebrates have backbone in their body as well as in porifers, cnidarians, annelids, mollusks, echinoderms and arthropods.
Invertebrate animals
Invertebrate animals have no backbone, as do fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.
Monera Kingdom
-
Protocyst kingdom
Eukaryotic, unicellular or multicellular and autotrophic or heterotrophic beings lack different tissues. Its cells have cell walls and chloroplasts (autotrophs). To this kingdom belong protozoa and algae (some).
kingdom fungi
Eukaryotic, unicellular or multicellular and autotrophic or heterotrophic beings. Your cells usually have a cell wall. In this kingdom are fungi and yeasts.
kingdom plants
Eukaryotic, multicellular and autotrophic. They also possess different tissues and organs. They have usually a cel wall cellulose and chloroplasts. Can be divided into:
flowerless plants
Don´t contain flowers or seeds. They are bryophytes (mosses and liverworts) and Pteridophytes (ferns and equisetos)
flowering plants
They are plants with flowers and seeds. They contain conductive vessels. As well as gymnosperms (pines) and angiosperms (oaks)
