Client requirements

Your client will give you a list/brief of things that should be followed and considered when deigning the end product. this could include target audience, colour scheme, timescale and budget
Requirements could be presented in a number of ways e.g. Discussion, sepcification or a written brief

Target audience
Target audience is who the product is aimed at, this will then be used to tailor the advert or product to specific requirements of the target audience

work plan

use to plan time taken for different tasks. Allows both you and your client to get a feeling of the time required to complete the task

workflow is the chronological order of tasks on the workplan to make sure tasks can continue on from each other
can be made on software such as excel, powerpoint, word or specialist software
research
primary - firsthand information gathered by you e.g. surveys, questionnaires
secondary - information gathered from a pre existing source can be subject to biased opinion e.g. Wikapedia/google article

Location recce
Often carried out before going to a location for filming etc. to measure the suitability of the location, as well as to identify any potential risks
Safe working practices
Safe working practices usually occur after a risk assessment to minimize the risk of a potential problem from occurring
A risk assessment is always carried out to identify potential risks and try to minimize the chance of these risks occurring
Hardware and software
hardware: hardware is physical objects that might be needed to create digital graphics or pre production documents, some examples of these would be a monitor, a mouse, pens, pencils etc.
Software: is a programme or application made to create an interface between the user and the computer, there are different types of software for different tasks, such as photoshop which is is used to edit images.
