Launched in 2009, the Change4Life Nutrition Campaign has become a trusted and recognised brand throughout the UK, encouraging families to lead healthier lifestyles, eat well and move more (Thesmc.co.uk, 2022). Marketingsociety.com (n.d.) recognises the public health challenge of obesity, in particular within children aged 5 - 11, and how parents actions are contributing to this development. Public Health Agencies were able to create resources available to those most in need, to change attitudes and habits which can lead to people being obese (Thesmc.co.uk, 2022). Over 70 organisations and their specialists were introduced to the Change4Life programme (PSNC, n.d.) to share information and support families in creating a healthier lifestyle. This essay will detail the role of Public Health Agencies with regards to the campaign and how through promotion of Change4Life the rates of disease have reduced.
