Kate Bush is a British singer songwriter who is a self taught pianist and began her career with her single Wuthering Heights that she wrote when she was 18.
Her music roots are eclectic - including progressive rock, folk music, ethnic styles and electronica.

Hounds of Love is a 2 sided album which includes the more 'pop' side Hounds of Love and the concept album 'The Ninth Wave.
Kate Bush composed, performed and produced this album in her home studio and was released in 1985.
The Ninth Wave is about the thoughts of someone drifting alone in the sea at night, battling to stay awake and slipping in and out of conciousness.

The CMI fairlight keyboard was the latest synthesiser technology and was the first commercially available sampler. Kate Bush was a pioneer of the CMI keyboard.
The 80s was a time that brought many technological changes starting with the CMI keyboard in the music industry.
