Commanders are all too capable of digging in their heels, striving to win every single dispute, and pressing their vision, and their vision alone, as the myers-briggs test would agree. Some people require more time to consider than others, which causes an unacceptable delay for Commanders who need to act quickly. In their rush, they may mistake reflection for stupidity or disinterest, which would be a horrible error for a leader to make.
I have noticed this challenge many times before in my life. As I matured, I found the Model United Nations - Club at Branksome Hall that allows me to use this challenge of being prone to starting arguments and apply that into a skill such as debating in public speaking.
An example of this would be in my everyday life, such as getting into a fight with someone I loved such as a family member or friend. Most commonly, when getting into a fight with someone I love I would find it very difficult to separate our relationship from the fight- it will say things that can be harsh and insensitive In the Heat of the Moment. In order to improve this challenge, I believe I, along with other Commander personality types can work on taking a deep breath and waiting to think before you say something that can alter a relationship forever.
All of this arrogance, along with the perceived superiority of logic, causes Commanders to be detached from their own emotional expression and even dismissive of others'. People with this personality type are prone to trampling on other people's feelings, accidentally hurting their partners and friends, particularly in emotionally charged situations.
