Connection to English
Symbolism: Symbolism is a literary device used all throughout english literature and language and is used to give a particular definition to a symbol or a non-living entity in certain contexts. Objects or symbols can hold multiple definitions in different contexts and are used to give deeper meaning to a piece of text or an artwork. Symbolism is prominently used in art and is used to give deeper meaning to an artwork.
Colours: Colours, like symbols, can also hold different meaning or definitions in artwork. Colours can convey a message and/or talk more about the artwork since it can give a hidden or deeper definition. Different shades and colour can talk more about a person in general as well.
Front-stage and Back-stage: When a person is introduced to a new social group they often change how they act front stage to match the personalities and likings of the new people that they met hoping to bond with them. And often at times this idea of how they act in front of the others sticks to the people's mind and they perceive them as that even if it's not their true personality. The back stage is when the person is truly themselves and their personality might be different as to how they act with new social groups. This idea of backstage can be conveyed through pieces of art and uses of colours and symbols.
