Use a different password for each of your social media accounts
Protect your computer by installing antivirus software to safeguard. Also ensure that your browser, operating system, and software are kept up to date.
Become familiar with the privacy policies of the social media channels you use and customize your privacy settings to control who sees what.
Click links with caution. Social media accounts are regularly hacked. Look out for language or content that does not sound like something your friend would post.
Playing online games
Some games allow the player to just straight up mute the enemies or teammates. If someone is being toxic, just mute them for yourself.
Avoid dodgy downloads, mods or links. The mods might not even work and may contain viruses.
Enable two-factor authentication. This makes it harder for the others to log in to your account from other devices.
Avoid using public to play games as it might be a fake hotspot to gather personal information.
Do not give others the log in information, they might ruin your hard earn win rate or purchase unnecessary items to waste your resources.
Sending email/spam emails.
