to avail of natural sunlight
• infrequently used rooms positioned at the northern end
• additional openings may be created
External Envelope
• glazing increased at southern, eastern and western
elevations, minimal on northern elevation
• incorporate sky tunnel into roof for natural light to north
• floor to ceiling glazing increases natural light
frequently used rooms southern facing at 15 degrees inclination

have living areas to the south
increase the amount of reflected light-
dressings light in both colour
External envelope
• south facing principal elevation to maximise natural light
• fewer and smaller windows on the north elevation reduces heat loss
• extended roof lights over front door for maximum sunlight to penetrate to the hall area
