Sound - Coggle Diagram
Sound
Wavelength - The distance between one peak of a
wave to the next corresponding peak, or between
any two adjacent corresponding points, defined as
the speed of a wave divided by its frequency.
Amplitude - The maximum absolute value of a
periodically varying quantity.
Frequency - The number of times a specified
periodic phenomenon occurs within a specified
interval.
Sound travels better in solid mediums: this is
because there are more particles in them.
Sound cannot travel in a vacuum as there are
no particles and vibrations cannot be
transmitted.
Loudness gets measured in decibels (dB).
Every 10 dB indicate that the sound is 10x
louder. Pitch gets measured in hertz (Hz).
Higher the Hertz higher the frequency of waves
that gets transmitted.
