Spread of Disease
As outbreak spreads to poor, remote areas, it's increasingly difficult for those affected to travel to health facilities in time to be treated.
Outreach activities (e.g. chlorination of infected water, distribution of hygiene kits etc.) are key to limiting the spread of disease.
Poor sanitation and a lack of safe drinking water (due to Yemen's ongoing conflict) make the population more susceptible to cholera.
