What is it and how is it used?
:star: Assessment of learning takes place after the learning experiences and measures an outcome or product, usually against a set of standards and using a grading scale. Also known as summative assessment, this kind of assessment is often used for reporting achievement data to students, parents and the community.
:star: Assessment as learning involves the students in learning from their own assessment. They monitor their own learning, inquire and ascertain their own achievement level.
:star: Assessment for learning essentially generates evidence for teachers of where their students are in the learning process, and informs teaching. Also known as formative assessment (AFL in the UK), this type of assessment follows the belief that all learners can improve.
