Keeping shabbat
Tzedekah - doing righteous acts.
Volunteering
Kindness
God is unfailingly kind and loving
'His loving kindness never fails.'
Many Mitzvot spell out what it means to be kind to others e.g. Do not murder
'Love thy neighbour'
is a Mitzvot in the Torah
Pikuach Nefesh
Life is sacred an d holy because it is created by God, a gift from God
Humans are made
'In the image of God'.
The ten commandments say
'Do not kill'.
Jews try to preserve life at all times
This means even if they have to break one of the 613 mitzvot
Even shabbat can be broken
