Process: Disunion is a process to determine a sectional divide between North and South, their internal systems, and slavery in the west
North: Use disunion as a process to limit the expansion of slavery into the west and create a narrative that the slave system of the south should yield development of the west to the north.
South: Use disunion to create a united southern front against the north. Create the narrative that the north was attacking the souths way of life, slavery, and wanted to create a southerner dependence on the north.
