ASEXUAL REPRODUCTION
Gemmules
Fragmentation
Regeneration
Regeneration is a process in asexual reproduction in which trough regeneration some organisims for example the starfish can replaced an injured or lost part and that part can become into a new individual.
In fragmentation the body of the parent breaks Into Smaller pieces and called fragments and each segment grows into an adult individual
Is a kind of asexual reproduction which is commonly associtaed in multicellular and unicellular organisim , some examples are bacterias, yeast, corals, flatworms ansd others
Gemmules is a method of asexual reproduction in which mass of cells are the main host, and this cells can developed into offsprings, this method had the advantage that it doesnt need much oxygen to work, tnis means undersea animals can adapapt very well to this method, but obviusly it depends on the animal because not all can use this.
Advantages of asexual reproduction
Population can increase rapidly
Only one parent is need
Its faster than sexual reproduction
Its fiendly to the enviroment
It does no require mobility
Disadvantages of asexual reproduction
The species may be only be swited To one habitat
Diversity is limited
Overpopulation
Overcrowding can be a real issue
