Mom
My mom taught me that to succeed in life priorities and organization should always be very important. She showed me that keeping everything in my life organized and keeping my priorities straight puts less stress upon me throughout life.
Dad
My dad showed me that for everything in life you must work hard. Him being able to be at the position he is in life without a college degree inspires me to work hard for everything I want in life.
Brother
My brother showed me how to care. Me taking care of him as my younger brother my entire life taught me how important responsibility is and how I should care for my loved ones.
Abuelita
My abuelita showed me that anything is possible. My abuelita was able to raise 9 children and put them all through catholic school in a third world country all as a single mother. She did a task that I didn’t ever believe possible and it shows me that if she can do that I can succeed in my life as well.
Friend group
My friend group showed me that I don't need to be “popular” or have the most friends in the world. My small friend group of only like 4 or 5 people have been the funniest people i've ever met and they showed me what I should look for in friendships as I get older.

School
School showed me that sometimes even if I really don’t like something, it still might be necessary and I have to power through it. I never really liked school, but I realized to get where I want in life I have to just get through it just like other things I will have to do in life.
Nicaragua
Nicaragua taught me to appreciate what I have. Nicaragua is the third world country that my mom was born and raised in. She came here when she was 17 because of several political issues. I look there today and even though it is a beautiful place, they go through many political struggles and even civil wars, so it showed me to be more appreciative that I live where I live.
Music
Music showed me that I don’t have to like what everyone else likes. My music taste is different from a lot of people I know, but I don’t care what other people say and I keep listening to whatever I like.

California
California taught me how to appreciate the beauty of nature. The tall trees and several forests getting burned down all the time in California showed me that nature needs protection and as I get older I want to try to do anything in my power to help preserve our nature.
Sports
Sports taught me how to communicate and be able to work with others. My teammates throughout my time playing basketball or baseball have become some of my closest friends and the chemistry and communication we have on the court or field is the same type I want to have in a work space with my coworkers as I get older. https://youtu.be/a2EgwU4mwIU
