Basketball
Basketball has always been a stress reliever for me. If I feel sad or mad, shooting around tends to calm me down from whatever is happening. This has taught me how to work with a team.
Bay Area
It has shaped me mentally and physically. I grew up in Hayward and it has brought me slang from this area only. It shaped my choice of clothing and music.
My dad has created my love for sports. He has taught me how to be respectful. He has helped me learn how to use my hands to work on things
Friends
Biking
My friend Miguel has introduced me to it. It is a thrill jumping 20ft and super high in the air. It has taught me to take risks and to step out of my comfort zone
Clearlake
My friend mana owns a lake house at Clearlake. He has completely changed my life when he first took me there. Completely changed me into an outdoors person. Mana and I have connected in many ways through Clearlake and country music.
My best friends are Ronik and Miguel. We are all close in age and they are my neighbors, I hang out with them every day. Since we hang out every day, we grew extremely close to each other, during the summer we hang out from 10 am-11 pm and it is the best time of my life.
Video Games
Gaming allows me to connect with friends even at home. It allows me to share interests with new people and to make new friends. This is also a stress reliever, because I get to relax and be myself.
Music
Since I've grown up in Hayward, I tend to listen to rap. But my father and my friend Mana, listen to country music which I slowly picked up. I then embraced the country life because we own plenty of farms down south. During the summer I will go work on the farm. Country music is the most soothing and calming thing for me.
Mom
My mom has taught me how to love one another. She has taught me how to care for myself. She has guided me through many friendships and how not everything is going to work out.
Brother
My brother has played a significant role by teaching me everything I need to know about being a teenager. He has guided me through high school, teaching me about how friends come and go. He and my mom has changed the view of the world about how not everyone is going to be there for you.
