Asexual Reproduction
Types
-
Parthenogenesis
They develop an egg, that hasn't been fertilized.
The organisms that reproduce with this type of asexual reproduction also can reproduce by sexual reproduction.
Some reptiles and fish can reproduce with this type of reproduction, along with wasps, bees and ants.
-
-
Budding: Hydras
They grow out of the body of an organism, and after some time it separates, making a completely new organism.
The majority of cases the offspring grows in specific places of the parent's body, but in some limited cases, the offspring grows in any number of parts of the body of the parent.
-
-
Similarities
-
-
-
Budding and Fragmentation both produce genetically identical daughter organisms to the parent organism.
-
-
Differences
In the case of fragmentation, and regeneration, they are very related, and their difference is that planarians (fragmentation) separate separate themselves intentionally, while echinoderms (regeneration) detach themselves by accident, not by choice.
-
Asexual organisms have a faster reproduction system than sexual, therefore they reproduce in bigger scale.
