Prepare yourself for starting others - Coggle Diagram
Prepare yourself for starting others
The person you are about to onboard should have attended a CC Experience and filled in the questionnaire shown to the right
You will be investing your precious time helping this person so it's critical that you believe they are prepared to put in some time to consistently build their team and eventually onboard others
You ONLY NEED A FEW OF THE MANY that join your team to build their teams in order for you to have a large growing network that will advocate for you and others creating fantastic results
Ask enough questions to gain confidence that this is a good fit for the person you are onboarding
Allow those that are not ready to build a team yet to contribute in any way they desire
However, it is important that everyone understands where the people in the CC come from
The people in the cc have all been invited by someone else
In other words, it doesn't work for people to join the CC, benefit from meeting other wonderful people in the CC without contributing to CC growth
however, if people are not willing to introduce others at the moment, look for others who are
People will surprise you!
(positively and negatively)
People often start with great intentions but fail to form the consistent habits necessary to build their own duplicating, growing network
Some people will be "good scouts"
In other words they will introduce people but fail to onboard them well
In some cases, it pays to help your team members onboard others. This way, the people they introduce will be great leaders who are more ready/willing to build a team than they are.
Some people will be ready to go now
Others may take longer to get their head around the system and the value of building their own team
Wait for no one - keep adding more people!
Give yourself more options for finding great team-building leaders
The Workshops will not only help your team members learn, the workshops will also help them see the value of building their network more proactively
Persuade your team members to listen to the progressive learning podcast. This can really help shift paradigms!
Also, stepping through the quizzes with a new person often helps create penny-drop moments!
People work at different paces & have different personality styles
Some people will engage more if you let them take control and share their screen with you
Others will prefer you to share your screen with them and lead you through an explanation so that they don't have to think about which buttons to press
It may be a good idea for you to start screen sharing and then pass the screen share over to them
Many of the people you onboard will fail to appreciate the value of the system in onboarding others (= Duplication)
It takes a while to understand Duplication (it's not about you, it's about having a system that makes it easy to onboard others)
Some people will do their homework. Others won't.
However, you should at least expect everyone to listen to the Progressive Podcasts
This will save you a lot of work.
Apart from learning the system, your weekly onboarding sessions are invaluable for the person you are onboarding
Among other things, you can advocate for them to exactly the right people in the CC
You can help great things happen for them but you need to be confident that they will pay-it-forward for the people they onboard.
Initially, encourage your new team members to think about people they know who would see the value of network building
Show them how to book these people in for a CC Experience (and most importantly book a time to follow up after the Workshop)
Work through the remaining steps of "Start Here - Progressive Learning" option of the Builders Menu
Then it's a matter of working with them to help them to form consistent habits via the 10/2 challenge
