- - - - • The factory or production manager will authorise, by signature, the transfer of the manufactured goods to inventory. The acceptance of the goods into finished inventory is acknowledged by signing the completed production report by the finished goods inventory stores staff.
      - • The raw materials, labour and machine hours worked, as well as overhead allocations on the completed job card is inspected by the production manager to ensure all production charges are correctly recorded. Then compared to the details reflected on the completed production report.
      - • Once the production process is complete, a quality control inspection is performed to detect any apparent defects before the clothing is transferred to the finished goods department.
      - • The production manager is assigned the responsibility of inspecting that each stage of the production process is completed, before the goods pass to the next stage. This authorisation is done via a signature on the relevant on the job card.
      - • At the end of each day, the total time recorded on job cards is reconciled to the total hours worked by the production staff. Any differences are accounted for.
      - • The time spent on each stage of production, by production employees or in machine time, is also captured onto the IJC, by simply writing the time on the card.
      - • All these raw materials issued to production are listed on the daily production report and a copy is sent to the raw materials stores staff to compare the document with the raw material inventory master file records for that day.
      - • All the of material and thread etc. issues to production is accounted for on the IJC.
      - • The production planning department prepares a pre-numbered raw materials issues slip (RMI) to request for the issue of the raw materials (material and thread etc.) required for this production run.
- - - - • The date for the inventory should be fixed.
      - • Each employee should know exactly what their responsibility is in the inventory count.
      - • Ensure that you have proper control over the inventory count sheets, and adjustment
      - sheets. All documents should be pre-numbered. Ensure that all the shelves and clothing rails are numbered.
      - • Please place a notice on the door and the social media pages that the shop will be closed on the day of the inventory count.
      - • No inter-branch transfers are allowed on the day of the inventory count.
      - • Provide every employee with a detailed set of instructions on the inventory count.
    - - • All branch managers should be present on the day of the inventory count. You have to supervise the whole count.
        
        • On the day of the count, please ensure that the count teams consist of 2 employees. One person should count and the other should write down the quantity on the count sheet.
        
        • All counters have to sign the count sheets that they completed. The branch managers should scrutinize the sheets and sign as well.
        
        • All uncompleted sheets should be collected from the count teams.
