Example of a weakness, risk and internal control
One of the employees does not allocate the time as well as the cost that they have spent on a specific production run onto the customer job card.
Weakness is that no time or cost allocation was done specifically for the production of this product.
Risk: Might not be able to correctly calculate the cost of this product at the end of this production run therefore we might be selling this product at a lower cost and we will end up not making any money on this specific product.
Internal Control: Should be a customer job card for every order that is made and your employees are expected to write down or capture all the hours worked, as well as the products used, within that specific product run.
