        Because they needed more food and supplies to fight the war and to feed the soldiers so the civilians in the countries had to cut back on the usage of food.

        Because soldiers needed more supplies and the governments focus was on the war.
    - - This led governments to use propaganda, one sided information or beliefs to persuade and keep national morals along with support for the war.
    - - During total war, governments relied on women like never before to fill in for mens jobs. Women replaced men in factories, offices, and shops.
        
        Women built tank, paved streets, plowed felids, and even ran hospitals.
        
        They also kept soldiers supplied with food, clothing, and weapons.
      - Though many women left the work force when the war ended, it changed mens views of what women were capable of doing.
        
        Women also saw themselves horrors of the war while working near the front lines as nurses and cooking for the soldiers.
