War Affects the Home Front

Why did the wartime governments take control of their countries' economies ?
By controlling their economy, they are able to control how much they make, and what they are making. If they are needing tanks, they would tell the factories to make tanks.
How did Total War lead to rationing?
Since the country was in the war, they needed to supply their troops while in battle. To do this, they needed to limit the consumption of the citizens so that their troops would be supported.

The government was in charge of the economy. This meant that the government could tell the factories what and how much to make

Germany's military was weakening and U.S had many fresh troops. U.S. launched a counter attack.

The Central Powers began to crumble, The Bulgarians fell, The Ottoman Empire surrendered, and then Austria-Hungary had a revolution. German troops deserted and Germans started to hate the Kaiser.
Kaiser stepped down and Germany declared itself a republic. An Armistice was signed. on November, 11 the war had come to an end.
