Tools and machines
Avoid using damaged or loose fitting hand tools
Do not hold articles in the palm of your hand when using a screwdriver.
Never use a machine or tool until you have been instructed in its correct use by your Teacher
Learn all the ways for starting and stopping the machines in the workshop, know the
position of emergency stop buttons.
Never remove machine guards
Do not use the machines if the teacher is not present
Heating materials
Only work in well ventilated areas
Never leave hot objects lying around
Make sure to wear protective clothing when needed
In class room
Eye and ear protection should be worn when needed
Do not wear loose clothing
Wear shoes with strong toecaps or soles
Handling materials
Be careful of sharp and jagged edges
Always wear protective gloves if necessary
